Our Commitment to Sustainable Connections

Although we do not own any plantations, we source rubber from local farmers and suppliers. With many smallholders near our facility, we are able to achieve traceability on a percentage of our raw material back to the plantations.

We intend to expand upon our traceability program.

Our Foundation:

At the heart of our success at Rubber Services Singapore 1877 are our co-founders, whose unparalleled expertise in the natural rubber industry forms the cornerstone of our business.

With a combined experience of over a century, they bring a wealth of knowledge, insight, and strategic foresight, guiding us through the complexities of the global rubber market.

Kevan Mitchell, Director (Business Development & Supply Chain)

Mr Kevan Michell is responsible for the business development and supply chain activities of RSS1877 and production matters of the Indonesia factory.

He has more than 35 years in the natural rubber industry, having work in various rubber related companies in London, Paris, New York and Singapore.

“I was made aware of natural rubber’s impact on forests during my formative rubber years. in Europe and the USA. Since then, I have been championing sustainable growth in the natural rubber industry. Scientific data proves with modern clones and better farming practices, no more jungle need ever be cut down for increased supply. Traceable rubber is the way forward.”

Jack Foong, Director (Commercial, Strategy, & Sustainability)

Mr Jack Foong is responsible for leading the development and execution of the company’s long-term strategy while driving the sustainable commitment of RSS1877 and the development of the Indonesia factory. Purposeful and passion driven, he has been in the rubber supply chain industry for more than 10 years after serving the Republic of Navy and Airforce for a decade.

He firmly believes that collective collaboration will enable all stakeholders to build resilience against climate change. Mr Foong has been appointed as the Management Representative according to the Management Representative Appointment Letter No. RSS/HR23/001. As the Management Representative, he is responsible for the implementation of FSC CoC Management System.

Yeo Siang Cher, Head (Accounts & Operations)

Mr Yeo Siang Cher is responsible for overseeing the accounting and financial matter of the Group and also the operation matters of the Indonesia factory.

He has more than 15 years of experience in the natural rubber industry, having work in West Africa and North Sumatra, Indonesia, whereby supported by the Aech Provisional government, uplifting the lives of the people. Prior to joining the natural rubber industry, he has held senior positions with various MNCs in the semiconductor and related companies.

Mr Yeo is a fellow member of CIMA, AICPA and ISCA.


